The Final Project: One Act Play

 

The final project is to be treated as a Mini-Play Production with costumes and props.  There will be 2-4 One-Act Plays, short plays or multi-character scenes directed by the cast or advanced level studentdirectors , who will be chosen by the teacher.

REMEMBER: THE FINAL IS WORTH 1/5 OF YOUR FINAL GRADE

PAPERWORK for the Scene

  1. SCENE - Photocopy of the scene with 1 the Objectives, the Obstacles and the Tactics notated*, 2 the Blocking written in, Important words underlined and 4 the definitions and pronunciations of unfamiliar words.  {30 Points}

  2. Completed Character Analysis Works Sheet- With no blanks and no “N/As,” “I don’t knows,” “?,” “I doesn’t says,” or “unknowns.”  {30 Points}

  3. Character History – ONE PAGE+ minimum.

                                            Typed: Double Spaced

                                                Neatly written in pen: Single Spaced

  • * = If you have not notated the Objectives, the Obstacles and the Tactics 50% will be taken off your paperwork grade.

  • ** = If you have not included a character history 50% will be taken off your paperwork grade.

  • + = A Page is at least at least 5 paragraphs long with 5 sentences each.

 

  • NOTE: If you lose your script, it will cost you 20 points for the teacher to replace it.  That is approximately half a letter grade.  This is your final, which is worth 1/5 of your grade.  You need to be responsible. [Students who find a way to replace their scripts without the teacher will not lose points.]
